Rest in faith!

In my own strength, I don't wait very well. I want, what I want, when I want it. I admit, I am impatient! Waiting means delay, it means biding one's time, it means cease, it means REST!!

But how can I rest, when I want what I want when I want it? The answer is simple "FAITH!" The Bible says faith is the substance of things hoped for, the assurance, the confirmation, the evidence of things unseen. (He 11:1).

When I wait, patiently, when I cease doing things in my own strength, I say to God, I can't depend on mysef, I am impatient, my way makes me frustrated, makes me lose things I really want in my life, but you said, that they that wait on the Lord ( your will, your way, your timing) will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings as eagles, they will run and not be weary, they will walk and not faint. ( Isaiah 40 28-31) I too want that for myself, I am ready to trust that you have better plan, to wait with an expectant attitude of faith and to see your promises manifested in my life.

I am a work in progress.

Psalm 130:5-8 New International Version (NIV)

5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits,

and in his word I put my hope.

6 I wait for the Lord

more than watchmen wait for the morning,

more than watchmen wait for the morning.

7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord,

for with the Lord is unfailing love

and with him is full redemption.
